APPROVAL OF THE TITLE I PART A - AMERICAN RECOVERY AND REINVESTMENT ACT GRANT APPLICATION TO THE FLORIDA DEPARTMENT OF EDUCATION FOR ACADEMIC INTERVENTION
Description
ENTITLEMENT: Grant funds of $4,294,905 will provide supplemental resources to participating schools to assist in meeting the academic needs of their students in math, reading and science. Participating schools: Alta Vista Elementary, Emma E. Booker Elementary, Glenallen Elementary, Gocio Elementary, Toledo Blade Elementary, Tuttle Elementary, Wilkinson Elementary, Cranberry Elementary and Booker Middle School.
Recommendation
That the School Board of Sarasota County approve the Title I Part A - American Recovery and Reinvestment Act grant application.
